Car vs. Truck on RT.30

Gettysburg units were dispatched for a car vs. truck on RT.30, box 1-8-30 at 04:08 hours. Gettysburg arriving units found a car off the roadway with one seriously injured patient, and a tractor trailer load of soy well involved in fire. Command 1 (Chief Kime) requested additional water bringing Engine Tanker 19 to the scene with a crew of 4. Additional resources were called by Command 1 bringing Tanker 6, Engine 22-2, Engine 33-1, Engine 10-2, and Engine Tanker 14, along with the Adams County spill unit to the scene. The single patient from the car was flown to York Hospital. Straban Township EMA was also requested to the scene by Command 1. PennDot crews arrived to remove the unloaded soy from the roadway. Engine Tanker 19 cleared the scene at 06:16 hours.
