Work has begun on the new training building located at the rear of the station. This building was our former carnival stage which we are converting into a training building. When completed the building will offer a roof vent simulator, wall vent simulator, bailout simulator, and forcible entry door. The Department has purchased a smoke simulator for the interior, and a 24X24 concrete pad will be attached for placement of 2 vehicles for Department vehicle rescue trainings. The completion of this building will also allow us a place for ladder trainings, confined space, and search and rescue, along with SCBA trainings.
