Early morning snow brings multiple calls
Bonneauville Borough

January 3, 2012

The Ambulance and Engine Rescue were alerted at 05:20 for a reported 3 vehicle MVA om West Hanover Street at the Borough line. Chief 19 (Poland) arrived to find a 3 vehicle collision with all occupants out of the vehicles. The crew from 1A received patient sign offs, while the Engine Rescue crew checked for hazards and spill control. While on the scene, units were sent to 17 West Hanover for a second MVA and arrived to find a single vehicle off the road with property damage only. Units cleared and became available at 05:55.

New Years on the square
Gettysburg

January 1, 2012

The Ambulance and Engine Rescue once again helped with resources for the annual New Years celebration on the square of Gettysburg. Both units staged on York Street to provide east side assistance for the Gettysburg Fire Department. The Engine handled 1 small service call and the ambulance provided 3rd BLS coverage on a local medical call just after midnight.

Bulk Plant Road

December 15, 2011

The Ambulance and Engine were sent to the area of Bulk Plant Road and Hickory Road for a single vehicle accident with no reported injuries. Ambulance 19A arrived and confirmed dispatch, while the Engine crew handled fluid control and stabilazition. Units were available within 15 minutes.

Dryer fire at AgCom
Granite Station Road

November 15, 2011

Multiple departments were alerted for a structure fire with possible entrapment at the AgCom facility located on Granite Station Road. E1-2 arrived and dropped a line from the roadway, while ET19 picked up and laid toward the hydrant at the Adams County Prison. Reports of entrapment were false, and ET19 returned to the scene after deploying all of its 5 inch, while the crew from E1-1 made up the difference to the hydrant. ET19 supplied Truck 1,a leader line to the blitz fire, and a 2 inch line to the west side of the dryer. Units returned within 4 hours. Photos by Gil Sheffer, Gettysburg Fire Department.

November 11, 2011

Units were alerted for a structure fire in Bonneauville Borough at 16:59 hours. Assistant Chief 19 (Poland) arrived to find a content fire in the bedroom and knocked the fire with a portable extinguisher. ET19 (K. Livelsberger)arrived and was directed to advance a 1 3/4 line to the bedroom, while the crew from Truck 1 was to open the house for ventilation. The fire was confined to a small area in the bedroom and all units picked up within 20 minutes. Full gallery available at 911-photography.com

Eastside Station

The Bonneauville Fire Department hosted another one of our famous shrimp and chicken dinners. Thank you to all who came out to support us, and to the members who helped with the event.

Downtown Station provides help

Once again, the Gettysburg FD allowed us use of their 2nd ambulance while ours was out for service. Thank you to our brothers from Gettysburg for your help when we needed it.

Trick or Treat in the snow

Once again, the Fire Department provided lighting around the Borough for the annual Trick or Treat. Candy was plentiful at all the apparatus stops and most members could not remember ever having snow for the annual trick or treat. The Department enjoys our participation each year for this event.

St. Johns Road/Germany Township

The ET and a crew of 4 respond St. Johns Road to assist the Alpha FD with a garage fire. Manpower from the ET was assigned to manpower staging and helped open up the building before being released.

Flyout from the Station
Bonneauville Borough

October 9, 2011

Ambulance 19a was dispatched to Happy Ramblers Motorcycle Club for a reported traumatic injury and requested aero-medical to land at the station for the flyout of the patient. Engine Rescue 19 provided the LZ coverage and Stat 13 transported to York Trauma Center.

Fatal MVA in Mount Pleasant Township

September 25, 2011

Bonneauville units were dispatched for a MVA with possible ejection. Assistant Chief 19 (Poland) arrived to find a single car on fire with the driver ejected. The crew from 19A started Patient care, and EQ19 extinguished the car fire. The driver was fatally injured in the crash.
